The Truth About Health Care Reform

Alot has been said about the ongoing debate as it pertains to President Obama’s cry to reform our nations health care system.  From an independent citizens’ point of view, I will attempt to address this issue.

Currently, I have health care insurance through my wife’s employer.  Over the years, we have toggled with our selections of coverage which becomes a household topic beginning around October and November of each year.  Because we are not considerably wealthy, this conversation becomes our financial goal plan for the upcoming year.  For the past few years the cost of our family plan coverage have tripled.  We do not have any pre-existing issues that affects our cost.  It is just the un-natural, above inflation, systematic increasing greed sought out by issurers that burdens my family’s financial wellness.

For over forty years,  politicians like the late Edward Kennedy have fought to get all Americans some sort of health care.   This reform is not a new conversation that President Obama came up with just because his mother had a personal battle with her insurer before her passing.  It is something that has been debated for years amongst the political spectrum with the opposers being insurers and their store bought political voicebox, known as our representatives.  Now that we are so close to getting coverage for all Americans, the insurance companies are spending millions to recruit constituients.  Well, their dirty tactics wont work this time.  This is not a black or white issue.  President Obama is not looking to only cover black people.  Yes, I said it.  This is not a minority ploy to takeover or takeaway what you hold so dear to your heart, your domination of power over the havenots.  This is an American issue.

Now that I have your attention, let me tell you the truth about health care reform.  President Obama has on numerous occassions stated that most of the redderick about his plan is untrue.  The Federal government will not deminish grandma’s medicare or medicaid coverage.  In fact, it will streamline the abuse as it pertains to fraud.  Fraud is one thing that is adding billions to our deficit.  There are no death panels.  This is not a government take over of healthcare.  We will all have more choices in healthcare.  Instead of corporate interest, President Obama is only interested in The People’s interest and that includes you.

My message to you is to grow up.  Stop telling fibs.  Don’ t misrepresent the facts about health care reform.
